Ingrid Ludt is a Boston-based visual artist whose paintings explore the hidden connections between nature, spirit, and the self. Originally from the Finger Lakes region of New York, she holds a B.F.A. with Honors in Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.F.A. in Painting from SUNY Albany. Her work, influenced by the pared-down aesthetics of Minimalism and Color Field painting as well as her ongoing study of depth psychology and consciousness, explores how refined form and color can hold symbolic and emotional resonance. Her paintings are included in both private and public collections. Ludt has taught drawing at SUNY Albany, curated at The Fields Sculpture Park at Omi International Arts Center, and served as a Visiting Artist at Middlebury College. She has received awards from the New York Foundation for the Arts and completed residencies at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony and Atlantic Center for the Arts.
